Just returned from a couple days in Nottingham ... home of the legend of Robin Hood :-) Reason for the visit was an interview on Kemet Radio with the deeliteful and charming DJ Naughty Raver and DJ Nico D on Thursday 22 April at 9pm ... was in the studio till 10.30 as we chatted, interspersed with not only the house remixes of my track 'Under My Skin' by himself, DJ Naughty Raver but also tracks off my album 'Best Day of My Life' and the Witty Boy remix of 'Under My Skin' - was a fun time and I am eternally grateful and thankful for their support of my music. Of course I couldn't leave Nottingham without going to Sherwood Forest, the hideout of Robin Hood ... and to see the oldest Oak Tree (1150 years old) in the country ... so accompanied by my dear mum off we ventured into the Forest looking for the ghosts of Robin Hood and his Merrimen ... :-)
Just received a couple copies of the Mastermix Pro Dance 27 compliation album for DJ use, which includes the Witty Boy Remix of 'Under My Skin' as well as a Cheryl Cole track, Chris Brown and Ultra Nate ... kinda cool :-)
Focus focus focus ... on rare occasions when the sun shines and its hot in London its sometimes hard to knuckle down and get on with what needs to be done as really you just wanna be outside chillin' and basking in the gloriousness of the day ... so I did for a few hours yesterday but now am looking at what needs to be done ... live gigs and video ... writing ... trying to figure out how to download ideas from my tascam to my computer ... somewhere inside my head I know I know it as it is said we already know everything ... we just need to improve our knowing ... hemmm ... on that thought I am going to tune in with the infinite and meditate ... in love n lightxxx

Wow what a thrilling time it’s been, I am so ever thankful that the remixes of ‘Under My Skin’ are really making an impact J.
I had a live phone interview with DJ Natch at ICR FM Radio, 105.7 Ipswich last Saturday 6th March which was fun and Natch played both remixes, the Naughty Raver and the Witty Boy remix. Yeah J
Oh an a big shout out to DJ Shawn ‘Banger’ Scott who has me on his Podcast of top tunes .. how fabulous.
Some exciting news about a compilation album as well …. Ooh I shall wait a little longer before I say too much .. till I have said product in my hand. Blessings, blessings pouring forth.
I'm looking at buying a Tascam DP-400 … (a mini portastudio) .. not too expensive but hemm not sure how easy this will be to use …I shall go to the shop on Monday and hopefully they can give me a demonstration - I’m not too clever with gadgets but it’s something I need to do. Ooh and still planning to get a video sorted and some live gigs going on.
Had a dipsy morning today when in my haste and madness in trying to do two things at once,well talk on the phone and make a delicious, nutritious smoothie with my wonderful Vitamix blender at the same time!! Not to be tried!! I ended up dropping the Vitamix on the floor along with all the content .. yes blueberry and acai berry smoothie all over my Ugg boots :-( .. Not a pretty sight and oooh what a mess to clean up :-) ... that'll teach me for trying to focus on more than one thing at a time!!!
Still waiting for the sunshine and spring to hit London .... in the meantime sending out love n peace to every living soul :-)

Where does the time go does anyone know :-) But I haven't been lazing around more like buzzing around and I have two wonderful new remixes of 'Under My Skin'; one by Witty boy which someone has put up on Youtube already ... if you type in Nyilah Under My Skin it pops right up and some kind soul has also put a piccie of me and somehow given me some kind of psychedelic colouring ... :-) And the Naughty Raver remix which I just love as well and isn't yet on Youtube but am working on it and of course getting them up on my website ... sooner than soon prayfully :-) and by God's wonderful grace they are getting played on radio and French radio too France FMR!!! I just had an interview with DJ Anthony G of Spincity on Unique Radio which I believe is being aired either this Wednesday 24 February between 4pm and 6pm or Wednesday 2nd March between 4pm and 6pm. Either way they will be playing the track this week and I am so grateful for the support! I also have an interview coming up with DJ Natch on Ipswich radio on 6 March .. that'll be live and on 22 April will be heading to Nottingham for an interview with DJ Naughty Raver :-) ... OOh and the Naughty Raver remix is on a compilation along with the likes of Black Eyed Peas and Jamie Foxx and Amerie ... ho hum ... good company ... Compilation by CD Pool. Gosh blessings blessings blessings pouring forth and I am soo grateful to AudioMusicStar for these wonderful oportunities :-) ...
I just watched the film 'Yes Man' with Jim Carrey the other night about a man who has to say yes to everything he gets asked .. it was funny and interesting because you saw what good things happened in his life when he said yes more than he said no ... can start a whole wonderful chain of events and possibilities that otherwise would have been missed ... but sometimes its hard to know what is the best decision which is when you have to kick in your intuition which strengthens in truth through meditation .. heemm must go and meditate now.
Have to focus on getting a video sorted ... this is on my list of things to do this week ... focus focus focus ... in the meantime I have an incy wincy problem of a car with a stereo that isn't working and this is quite a problem when you are a musician/vocalist ... may be some wondrously magical angels will bring forth to me a new car with an amazing stereo in it that works yeah :-) Off to meditate and then dream the (prayfully!) sweetest of dreams :-) ... Hurray a new year ... thank you God :-)
I spent New years eve down in East Sussex with friends ... playing guitar ... singing songs ... telling stories ... laughing ... and ooh and we were looking forward to seeing the planet Saturn and its 3 rings which was meant to be visible in the sky on new years eve at 3am ... we waited and waited with my friends huge telescope at the ready but alas the clouds filled the sky and no Saturn to be seen!!
I'm soo excited about this coming year! Firstly, I have a bassline and funky house remix of 'Under My Skin' coming out beg of Feb that I'm soo excited about - will be going to radio and clubs. My creative juices are flowing and songs are pouring forth to me from the ether ... I must get them down before they dissolve back whence they came from !
One of my resolutions for this 2010 is to take lessons on the piano ... I have a beautiful old piano that I can play enough to write songs on but I want to really master it! I acquired the piano some years ago when a pub was going to throw it out - throw it my way I said and they did !! It has a very distinctive sound which is partly from the beer that has been spilled on the strings!! Still a lovely sound :-)
Watched a most poignant documentary on Elvis Presley a few nights ago ... "Elvis Presley by the Presleys". They spoke of the spiritual side of his life that not many people know about .. all the spiritual books he had read and the fact that he often frequented Lake Shrine, in California ... a most beautiful pilgrimage place of SRF that is truly magical and inspirational that I too have been blessed to visit also. A strange truth is that it was through reading a book about Elvis entitled "If I Can Dream" that I began a spiritual journey myself that led me to SRF and meditation! There are so many incredible wonders in this world and beyond that somehow someway we are all entwined I guess only when we move beyond this Universe will we then see the true bigger picture of us all. I have some great lyrics on this that I have not yet put into song but I think it is something I must work on this year as they continually pop into my head.
French ... going to learn French too I think ... would be cool to sing a song in another language ... so much to do and the clock is tick tick ticking :-)

Wow I had planned to write in the diary a couple times of week!! Now I see before me that 6 weeks have passed!! Well they say time flies when you're having fun :-) ... but also to coin another phrase 'there's no rest for the blessed' :-) Life is indeed a challenge to overcome and time is for sure one of those challenges! In the 6 weeks I've recorded a new song which I love and am working on releasing it out to the Universe very soon ... listen out :-) Am also rehearsing for some live performances but dates not confirmed yet so will keep under my hat for the minute :-) Went on a music course with Sledge Media which was indeed enlightening, inspiring and motivating!! Read a lovely little book entitled 'The Giving Tree' . Ooh was in Covent Garden the other day for brunch with a friend, a joy to catch up and deelicious food at Christophers. I also came across this large glass built room which had a sign above it saying 'Come and Drum' and WOW the sound was truly AMAZING and UpLifting ... just a room full of people drumming and it really did lift you up and make you want to dance for joy - the power of music is awesome :-) Am ever thankful and ever grateful for the wondrous opportunities that present themselves to me and on that note I must sign out but not for too long :-)

"You got to have a dream, if you don't have a dream how you gonna have a dream come true" - Happy Talk from South Pacific - Woke up this morning singing this in my head and then lo and behold I opened a book randomly this morning and there it was written in quotations!!! Curiouser and curiouser as Alice would say :-)
Well after a blissful, creative and spiritual weekend "offline" :-) Saturday was spent creatively finger painting with little angel soul n so much fun :-) Completing new song ... though still playing around with the lyrics - so for inspiration I re-read an interview with the great composer Brahms who talks of how he tunes in with the Infinite when he is composing .. its from a book entitled (funnily enough!!) Talks with Great Composers!
And Sunday was a day of worship and praise and strengthening my faith "If Ye Have Faith, Nothing Shall Be Impossible Unto You".
This week I must focus on the video and am still undecided as to an EPK or to work on video for song - I have to make this a priority as well as recording the new song.
Hemm after 2 hours of trying to figure out how, I have come to the realisation that my lovely Sony Vaio does not allow me to download DVDs :-( (one of my performances in Hollywood) well I guess nothing is perfect in this world though it does seem a simple task for it to undertake!!

Morning World :-)
Had an inspiring dream last night .. but only remember snippets of it! I know Madonna was in it and there was a guitar and I remember I had written this song with only 4 chords and of course can only remember one of the chords F! Still its something to work on as I remember the feel of it and feeling is good!
Started the day with meditation and for some reason watched this DVD called 'Cracking the Millionaire Code' - I've had it a while but never watched it ... a very similar to message to alot of books I've read recently ... "giving is getting and the art of tithing".
Logged on to the outside world and I see in the Yahoo news that NASA is going to bomb the moon!! Well thats one of the craziest things I've heard in a long time. I had to twitter my thought on this straight away!! That man is not content with continuously attempting to destroy Mother Earth that it now wants to go and mess up the Moon!! Every action has a reaction and though we may not know what that is immediately the law of karma I'm sure will have something to say about this.
Focus for the day is on completing my song that I have co-written with Dolo Pacino and need to get recorded by the end of October ... Its virtually written just a few tweeks and a Middle 8. Wishing you all a bliss-filled weekend, in peace, Nyilahx '
